We are delighted to be working together to convene a forum for cross-disciplinary thinkers from academia, policy and business.
The current global climate for higher education presents us with a huge set of challenges but also huge opportunities for us to rethink our role as educators. The dominant questions of today are: what is the purpose of experts? What is the purpose of corporations? What is the purpose of education?
Our research and collaborations with universities and firms have helped us to identify urgent priorities for the future of the profession and the role of education. Last year, we ran several workshops with academic institutions that clearly identified the need for more synergies between policy and practice.
In this context, we need to establish a positive outlook for the future together. Therefore, on 9 April, AuditFutures is organising a symposium to develop a vision and strategy for education to contribute to shaping the future of the profession. The event is jointly organised with the British Accounting and Finance Association, as part of the 2018 Annual Conference.
We have convened experts from academia, business and policy to create a narrative by integrating three cascading themes:
9 April, Westminster Central Hall, London
1:00 - 3:30: Round-table discussion with expert panel
3:30 - 4:00: Networking
4:00 - 5:30: Workshop for educators
5:30 - 7:30: Reception

With this practical session, we will explore and articulate the design principles that can help in creating a more comprehensive educational experience. With a specific focus on the capabilities needed for the future, the workshop will cover strategies for institutions and educators. We will explore ideas that can help in the design of learning and development approaches, environments and objectives.
The workshop is free for academics, PhD students and training providers.Register
We will be launching a resource page with all the briefing materials, resources and links. Please visit again after the event.
